How did our circus begin?
One man's Dream, One man's reality
In 1992 Tom Purchased a limited edition LGB Circus Train released through Depot G Hobbies in Illinois. It was called the Wilson Bros. Circus Train.
In February 2002, Tom found some Bachmann Circus Flat Cars on Ebay and thought the wagons were the same scale (1:22.5) as LGB. He acquired several and doubled the wagon loads on his Wilson Bros. Train. This gave him several empty flat cars from Bachmann. Being winter time and retired with nothing to do Tom started to build a couple of Circus wagons.
Having a model circus as a teenager the modeling was a natural. The problem was he built more wagons then his new flat cars would hold. So he built a train consisting of four stock cars and twenty-five flat cars. He now has over 100 feet of circus train. Has made over 150 circus wagons and trucks. He has created a display covering a 16x40 foot area.
The circus can be displayed in part or whole. It requires up to 30, 8 foot banquet tables. The show is constantly being improved and enlarged.
